“WE SHAPE OUR HOMES AND THEN OUR HOMES SHAPE US”
- WINSTON CHURCHILL
When painting, Katrina Bajoras works with natural mineral pigment oil paint on canvas. As an artist, she uses painting to explore concepts like “being present”, “appreciation of being a human” and “self-exploration”. Through the surrealistic visuals and symbolism, thoughts are being painted on canvas, sending a message to the viewer to feel and interpret through their own prism.
“When art is more than decoration it challenges you intellectually. By leaning into these feelings, we push ourselves to think more openly, to challenge ourselves and to see the world from a different viewpoint. “

Every rug you see in the catalogue can be customised in size and colour or a new rug can be created to meet your ultimate “rug fantasy”.
Bajoras offers you an option to have a completely personalised art piece on your floor or wall if you wish, that compliments your interior aesthetics and makes the place artistic, warm and exquisite.
The process of making bespoke rug:
Firstly, together with a designer you discuss the style. After seeing the interior of the place where the rug is wanted and deciding on the size, shape, colour palette and yarn, the designer creates three first sketches of the rug and presents it to you.
When we find the perfect design for your place, we send it to our artisan and the rug is being hand-made.
The production time is around 2-3 months, depending on the design difficulty and designers’ and artisans’ availability.

Katrina Bajoras uses sculpting to continue exploring her surreal concepts. Every single sculpture is numbered as a one-off art piece made of clay.
Clay is a natural soil material containing the blend of minerals sourced from the earth that has been manipulated in numerous ways and used for a variety of purposes for thousands of years.
We do believe in “travelling energy” and how certain objects, especially art-pieces, can fill itself with surrounding energy and reflect it later on the environment and the human.
That is one of the reasons why Bajoras plays classical music when sculpting. The calming effect induced by classical music releases dopamine to spike pleasure. The dopamine also prevents the release of stress hormones. Hands and fingers, being the main and only “tool” to create sculptures, without any doubt, gets charged with deep and positive energy.
